Biogas production with good performance
When choosing the technology and design of the plant, we have strived to achieve the highest efficiency possible. The goal is to ensure that at least 65 percent of the energy content in the biomass is transformed to biogas and that the total energy efficiency will be over 90 percent.
The biogas is produced by way of gasification of forest residues, such as woodchips, branches and tops. In the gasification plant, biomass is transformed into a synthesis gas, which in turn is further processed into biogas. By using the indirect gasification method, we achieve a gas with high quality, which can be distributed via existing gas grid.
From the plant, the heat surplus is recycled in the form of district heating to the district heating grid.
