Biogas production with good performance

When choosing the technique and design of the plant, we strive to achieve the highest efficiency possible. The goal is to ensure that at least 65 percent of the energy contents in the biomass is transformed to biogas and that the total energy output will be over 90 percent.

The biogas will produced by way of gasification of forest residues, such as woodchips, branches and tops. In the gasification plant, biofuel will be transformed into a combustible gas (syntes gas), which will, in turn, be further processed into biogas. By using the indirect gasification method, we achieve a gas with high quality, which can be distributed via existing gas grid.

From the plant, the heat surplus will be recycled in the form of district heating to the district heating grid or as electricity (phase 2). The ash that is generated from the plant will also, if possible, be returned to the forest as fertilizer to compensation for the biomass that was collected.
